For Tottenham, who are vying for the Champions League, Rodrigo Bentancur has one goal in 13 Premier League games.
After hurting his foot during practice last month, Rodrigo Bentancur of Tottenham believes he can’t stop playing for three to four weeks. In an interview conducted back home in Uruguay, the 26-year-old disclosed that he had been playing with a broken phalanx but that he simply could not afford to wait another month.
Last season, Bentancur missed a total of 36 games for club and country due to a cruciate ligament tear. This season he was out for close to two months for a torn ankle ligament and admitted he just could not afford to be out for another month. 
The midfield player stated to ESPN, via Polideportivo: “I broke it two or three weeks ago, but my game is still the same. My foot, or phalanx, broke. It was impossible to knit up, so I had to quit for three or four weeks.
It happened in training prior to the match against Crystal Palace, but I’m already recuperating. I forget once I’m comfortable.”
Spurs require Bentancur to return to peak form.
Spurs lost a chance at Fulham to go up to fourth place in the Premier League.The team led by Ange Postecoglou was rightly defeated, and important players like Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma appeared out of sorts.
Even though Villa only managed a draw against West Ham, there is still hope since players like Bentancur, who was crucial to former manager Antonio Conte, will need to find his best form again in order to contend for a starting position.
He has only managed one goal and no assists this season. Although he doesn’t always score, he can advance the ball and maintain control. In order to defeat Villa in Champions League football, Tottenham will need to win back both the player from Juventus’ starting lineup and his fitness, which has been threatening his development.
