Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou will be delighted by what  Spurs player did on Tuesday

Prior to Luton Town’s Premier League matchup against Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, March 30, Ange Postecoglou and it seems Destiny Udogie will be totally concentrated.

After Spurs’ humiliating 3-0 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage on March 16, Postecoglou has had nearly two weeks to consider his team’s worst showing of the year.

The Tottenham manager would have been coming up with strategies to even the score against the Hatters while his players were around the globe representing their countries.

Spurs are competitive to play in the UEFA Champions League, but if they want to advance to Europe’s top competition, they will have to perform considerably better than they did against Marco Silva’s team the first time around competition.

Though the Australian was deprived of that chance due to the March international break, Postecoglou would have welcomed the chance to work with his players to prepare a strategy to guarantee they performed well against Luton.

Spurs manager would have been planning how to make amends with the Hatters while his players were representing their countries all around the world.

Spurs are doing well in the competition to play in the UEFA Champions League, but if they want to advance to Europe’s top competition, they will have to perform far better than they did against Marco Silva’s team in their most recent match.

The March international break has denied Postecoglou the chance to work with his players to prepare a game plan that will guarantee they win against Luton. The Australian would have delighted to have had that time.

In the competition for UEFA Champions League football, Destiny Udogie will be crucial for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou.

While it seems Udogie is fine and ready to return to Tottenham, some fans may have been concerned about his omission from Italy’s matchday team for their 2-0 victory over Ecuador on Monday, March 25.

And after his international exploits, Postecoglou will be happy with how fast his first-choice left-back has returned to first-team training.

Udogie is obviously not wasting any time going back to training ahead of the Luton encounter this weekend. He will be hoping to regain his form following a challenging last few games.

The 21-year-old made his Italy debut on Thursday, March 21, when they defeated Venezuela 2-1. However, he had a forgettable evening because, in the first two minutes of play, he threw the ball away, which allowed his team to concede a penalty.

It turned out to be a challenging evening for the young player, and according to Sofascore, he wasn’t playing his best defense either.

In addition to conceding two fouls and giving up 10 possessions, Udogie only prevailed in four of his nine ground battles.

Even though he succeeded in 95% of his passes, 100% of his long balls forward, and 100% of his crosses, his one successful dribble out of three attempts was just one more low point in an otherwise disappointing evening.

Udogie is an important member of the N17 team, and his efforts could mean a lot come playoff time.

According to the Premier League Official Website, Udogie has played more minutes in the league than only three Tottenham outfield players thistles season.

Udogie’s importance to the squad is evident as he is only second to Pedro Porro in terms of tackles made (63), and he has the fourth-most touches (1,605) at Tottenham.

Udogie needs to get back to his best for Postecoglou, and fortunately for him, the Itallian is obviously prepared to put in the necessary effort to do so.

Daniel Levy will be licking his lips when a £2.1 billion UEFA number surfaced, in other Tottenham news.
