This is the season when truly unexpected transfers as well as insanely costly ones can happen, and it appears that Tottenham Hotspur is prepared to make some major expenditures.
Recent sources state that Daniel Levy and company are planning to negotiate the signing of a Premier League player who would be an incredible addition to the team and partner with Son Heung-min.

Football Transfers recently reported that Tottenham is keen to bring Crystal Palace star Ebenerechi Eze to North London for the summer.
The player’s camp believes that if his asking price of approximately £60 million is satisfied, the South Londoners will allow him to join Ange Postecoglou’s revolution in N17. In fact, the report has revealed that the Lilywhites are scheduled to hold talks about the potential signing at the end of this week.
This deal would need the club to beat their current transfer record, which is £55m for Tanguy Ndombele in 2019 – his output didn’t see the add-ons activated – but with Eze open to the transfer, Levy and Co must do what they can to make it happen.
Given his stellar play for Palace the previous season, Son might be able to achieve even greater things with Spurs.

The 25-year-old England international, who has four caps, is a versatile player who has started in 260 games as a center-forward, left and right midfielder, attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, and even as a center-forward.
If he were to move to N17 this summer, he would likely play most of his games in midfield or occasionally out on the left, and he could therefore form a brilliant partnership with club captain, Son.
This is where the Palace ace comes in, as in 31 games – one more than Maddison – he managed a tally of 11 goals and six assists, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.8 games to the former Leicester City ace’s average of every 2.3 matches.
The South Korean returned a staggering 27 goals and assists in 36 games last season from the left-wing and striker positions. He did this while the team’s most efficient midfielder, James Maddison, could only muster four goals and ten assists.
Now, the England manager Gareth Southgate described the “beautiful” Eagles attacker as someone who could not always start ahead of the Lilywhites co-vice-captain, but he would offer real competition in that number ten role, and his versatility means he could substitute for Son on the left when he needs a break.
In the end, breaking the club’s transfer record to bring in a player is not something to take lightly, but Eze has been phenomenal for Palace over the years, and he could be even better alongside Son at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
