Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the vice president and the Democratic presidential contender casually chugged a can of alcohol on camera.Colbert, the host, informed the audience that the production was careful not to offer Harris a beer can without prior authorization, stating, “because we can’t just be giving a drink to the vice president of the United States,” according to HuffPost. And Harris appears to have agreed, as the two bonded over music interests and the election while drinking Miller High Life cans.The debate shifted to her Republican challenger Donald Trump and if she believes he won the 2020 elections, as he says. She told Colbert, “You know, I’m going to tell you what some of the folks in my rallies—quite a few people show up, by the way—you know, when you lost millions of jobs, manufacturing, automotive factories, and the election. What does this make you? “A loser.”Harris clarifies that this statement was made by one of her supporters at her event, stating, “I thought it was funny,” while also noting that the beer effect had begun to set in, saying, “This is what happens when I drink beer,” and laughing famously.Trump and his staff, meanwhile, were aware of Harris’ calm and easygoing demeanor and promptly called her out for drinking on television. Trump’s dedicated account on X, formerly Twitter, @TrumpWarRoom, denounced her actions, saying, “While North Carolinians were desperately clinging to their rooftops, she was bilking her rich San Francisco donors out of their cash.” She is currently drinking with newly arrived late-night hosts while the largest hurricane in years makes landfall. She has no regard for you.”Harris received a barrage of negative comments on the social media site after the post. @endlibtyranny, a MAGA supporter, attacked Harris, saying, “Just another day in La-La Land where priorities and hurricanes don’t mix! Folks, keep in mind that the state will never give communities priority. NC, keep up your strength!” Echoing the venom, @ThomasPaineBand said, “Kamala is a complete disaster for America.” There is no way to defeat Trump in a fair election!”
