Good news as usual Tottenham globally to sign “mega money” as midfielder alongside as the rate of £60 million

Postecoglou chasing new midfielder after Dragusin

Tottenham have been informed the “mega money” price tag needed to recruit a midfielder they truly want, alongside the strongly connected Chelsea player Conor Gallagher

Following the successful acquisition of defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa in a part-exchange deal valued about £26 million (Fabrizio Romano) and Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig, focus is now on the potential recruitment of a new midfield player.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Spurs, is rumored to be looking for a new number eight in the engine room, preferably one who can cover for playmaker James Maddison when needed.

According to reports from the last several weeks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future and his ability to complete a relocation out of north London by January 31 may determine the outcome. But after Spurs finalized a deal for Dragusin, The Independent and reporter Miguel Delaney provided an update, suggesting that might not be the case as Tottenham “press ahead” with plans to recruit another midfield player.Gallagher of Chelsea has been the candidate that has been connected the most. Under Mauricio Pochettino, the Englishman has been outstanding at Stamford Bridge this season, starting 19 league games and contributing significantly to the team.

Though that doesn’t mean Gallagher is Spurs’ only option; it’s also thought the Lilywhites are interested in signing Arthur Vermeeren, a sensation from Royal Antwerp who has enjoyed something of a breakthrough season in the Jupiler Pro League and has even drawn comparisons with legendary Barcelona stars like Andreas Iniesta. Gallagher is currently tied with Cole Palmer for the most top-flight assists at Chelsea, and his stellar form has apparently turned Postecoglou’s head in his search for a new midfield running man at Spurs.Earlier this season, Vermeeren appeared in every Antwerp Champions League game and started 20 league games. Spurs News, who have more this week on the team’s interest in Vermeeren, reports that the 18-year-old has been dubbed the “next Christian Eriksen” by club scouts.

    Tottenham want “mega money” Vermeeren

Spurs are reportedly very interested in Vermeeren, but they will need to pay what insiders call a “mega money” amount to get him to leave Belgium. In fact, the package needed would consist of an initial £25 million payment plus a further £25 million in add-ons based on performance.

Vermeeren is so highly regarded at Antwerp, but whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and the team that recruits players believe he’s worth that hefty price is still up in the air.But it’s obvious that the adolescent has enormous potential as a player and will be someone to keep an eye on in the upcoming days and weeks.

“Do I occasionally gape at what I’m watching? Certainly,” commented former Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld on Vermeeren.”Everyone is well aware of what to do both while winning and losing the ball. Then the characteristics of such a boy emerge. For his age, what he displays is amazing. That is something I don’t often see.”
