Following his announcement that he wants to leave the club this summer, Aberdeen star Duk is seeking a new challenge. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Pittodrie and will be free to sign pre-agreed deals in the new year.
Duk is reportedly looking for a new challenge because he wants to make a profit on a sale, which is what the club and the team need, as well as Aberdeen. If a deal is made this summer, both Aberdeen and his previous team, Benfica, will receive compensation.
Speaking to the Portuguese publication Maisfutebol, Duk stated: “I think this is the right time to embrace a new challenge.
I think that, and the people who work with me think the same. It would be a good opportunity to repay all the support they gave me, whether Aberdeen or Benfica, because Benfica still has a percentage.
My contract with Aberdeen expires in a year, and I will be free to sign for any club in six months. I think the best way to repay the support they have given me is to be able to make a transfer that benefits Benfica, Aberdeen, and me all in equal measure.
Celtic receive ‘improved’ offer for striker
Hyeon-gyu Oh, a striker for Celtic, is reportedly the target of Genk. Bob Faesen of Belgian outlet HLN Sport reports that the Pro League team has “made an improved offer” for the 23-year-old.
Genk has been “locked in talks” with the Premiership champions, who are eager to cash in on Oh just 18 months after he joined from Suwon Bluewings in his home country of South Korea. Oh cost £2.5 million when he joined Celtic, and according to recent reports, the Hoops should make “at least £1 million” from a sale this summer.
