Milan outcast Thiago Motta and Alexis Saelemakers might go back together at the Allianz Stadium as Juventus keeps an eye on the Belgian’s condition at San Siro.If they are unable to sign other targets, according to Giovanni Albanese of Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin heavyweights may look to move for the versatile attacker.

Saelemaekers had a successful term for Bologna. In 30 Serie A games, he recorded four goals and three assists, helping the team, against all odds, qualify for the Champions League. However, Motta chose not to activate a buyback clause in his Milan loan agreement once he left Renato Dall’Ara to lead Juventus.

The 24-year-old is already looking for a new home when he returns to Lombardia. Saelemaekers is prepared to pack his things and head out once more, as he is deemed unnecessary. Given that Motta holds him in such high regard, Juventus may be able to provide him with a way out of San Siro.

Milan is unlikely to obstruct them. In order to force Saelemaekers to leave Anderlecht in the summer of 2020, Milan paid little less than €5 million. Juventus wouldn’t have to worry about the winger’s price tag because his time in Italy hasn’t substantially enhanced his value. They won’t rush to complete this transaction, though.

Juventus is still focused on getting Riccardo Calafiori signed to a contract with Bologna. Then, if an opportunity arises, they will seize it. However, since they’re prepared to hold out until the end of the summer to sign Saelemaekers, they risk losing out to other Serie A teams who are also interested in signing him.
