It appears that Russell Wilson’s time in Denver is running out as the nine-time Pro Bowler is the clear favorite to start for Denver again in 2019.
The most likely team to sign Wilson in the fall is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who, according to DraftKings, are searching the market for a new quarterback come fall 2024.
The Steelers are -250 to be the next team that Wilson snaps for, a long way ahead of the two other top possible suitors, the Atlanta Falcons (+650) and Las Vegas Raiders (+550).
With the next-best odds(+750), the Broncos are seen to be long shots to keep Wilson after head coach Sean Payton shockingly benched him in the final stretch due to contract disputes.
The two parties may decide to rework Wilson’s contract so he can stay with the Broncos, but it seems that Payton would rather let go of the 35-year-old quarterback and usher in a new chapter in Denver—especially in light of Wilson’s enigmatic remarks on social media in the days that followed.
