Kentucky Football has made a 2027 class player an offer, indicating that it is already thinking about the future.

In the beginning of May, Springfield, Ohio-native athlete Brandon Keyes, a member of the class of 2027, was offered by Kentucky.

Keyes discussed why it was so unexpected to receive an offer so early in his high school football career in an interview with A Sea of Blue.

“I was really surprised that I received the offer, and it felt amazing hearing the news from Coach (Vince) Marrow,” Keyes remarks.

Up until now, Marrow has served as Keyes’ main recruiter. During a school showcase, he received an offer.

“During the time, I had a few conversations going over what type of player I am and his wanting me to evaluate myself more as a player and to not let anyone take my opportunities away from me,” Keyes said of the offer he made to him at his school’s showcase.

Although Keyes is now labeled as an ATH, meaning he can play on either side of the field, Kentucky hasn’t talked much about where he will play.

“I feel like that’s where they want me to be,” Keyes says. “Not too much has been said, but my father showed me I was listed as a wide receiver, and I know Kentucky is a very fast team when it comes to speed.”

The three teams that Keyes is most interested in are Kentucky, Toledo, and UMass, despite the fact that it is early in his recruitment.

Growing up, Keyes had two dream colleges because his family was an avid supporter of both, and the ironic thing is that the two teams are enemies.

Because of my dad and other members of my family, Michigan has always been my ideal university, according to Keyes. “It may sound strange to say that I like both schools, but my family’s other side is a huge Ohio State fan.”
