Even though she is the current WWE Women’s World Champion, Becky Lynch has not committed to a new contract.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Lynch’s contract is still scheduled to expire at the end of the month. Lynch recently won one of the largest trophies in the organisation, but he hasn’t signed a new contract.
According to Sapp, contract negotiations are still going on for Lynch; nonetheless, as June draws near, a resolution might be achieved. Lynch will now challenge Liv Morgan for the championship at the end of the month at WWE’s King & Queen of the Ring event.
Fightful verified in another section of the article that Lynch’s spouse, Seth Rollins, has inked a “new, big money, multi-year contract” to remain with WWE.
When Becky Lynch was asked if there had been any progress towards resigning or if there was any question that she would stay with the company, she was speaking to Adam Silverstein on Getting Over earlier this year. All in the ether, according to Becky Lynch.
Everything is open for discussion. That hasn’t really been requested of me. I’ve not been questioned about that. I was curious if anyone had noticed, as no one has mentioned anything to me [laughs].
