Finance specialist Kieran Maguire claims that the West Ham board has used David Moyes as a “fall guy” to divert attention away from their own failings and broken promises.
Speaking with Football Insider, Maguire said that many West Ham supporters believe they were not kept to their promise of substantial improvements once the team moved to the London Stadium.
After serving as manager for four and a half years, Moyes will leave the Hammers at the end of the current campaign, the team confirmed last week. Maguire was quick to point out that Moyes brought European football on three times during this time, and he expressed his dissatisfaction with Moyes’ departure from the team. Moyes also helped West Ham win its first title in almost fifty years.
