Omari Hutchinson, an Ipswich Town loanee, stated that returning to Portman Road is one of his “options” for the summer.

The winger was snapped up by Ipswich Town on loan from Chelsea last summer.

Since then, Hutchinson, 20, has adjusted to life in the Championship with the Tractor Boys with ease.

In the upcoming transfer window, he hasn’t ruled out returning to Suffolk in any form and has stated, according to an East Anglian Daily Times report: “It’s going to be a difficult one, I don’t know the answer to that.” However, perhaps—I hope so.

For Ipswich this season, Hutchinson has been a valuable player who will provide them with greater depth and competition in the future.

Whether or not they re-sign him will probably depend on the league they play in the next season.

If Kieran McKenna’s team is promoted to the Premier League, Chelsea will want him to be playing at the highest level possible, so moving up would make more sense than going back to the second division.

Before relocating to Stamford Bridge in 2022, the two-cap Jamaican international played with Charlton Athletic and Arsenal.

Since then, he has appeared in two games for the Blues first squad. In July of last year, he was granted permission to temporarily leave when Ipswich made an offer.

Since then, Hutchinson has made 40 appearances for the Tractor Boys across all competitions, contributing six goals.
