Buzzer-to-buzzer coverage of the NBA schedule for 29th October

Oct. 29th’s full slate of games:

    • Denver vs. Brooklyn (Denver 144, Brooklyn 139)
    • Dallas vs. Minnesota (Dallas 120, Minnesota 114)
    • Sacramento vs. Utah (Sacramento 113, Utah 96)
    • New Orleans vs. Golden State (Golden State 124, Pelicans 106)

    OCT. 29 TOP STORYLINES 👉📝
For the third consecutive game, Nikola Jokić was unable to score 40 points or more, yet he still accomplishes record milestones. In NBA history, he became just the second player to post at least 29 points, 18 rebounds, and 16 assists in a single game (Oscar Robertson being the first). It was sweetened by defeating the Nets 144-139 in overtime.

Perhaps seeking retribution for the team’s defeat to the Mavericks in the previous season’s West Conference Finals, Anthony Edwards came out of the first quarter like a man on fire. But Kyrie Irving’s scorching 25-point performance in the second half was what gave Dallas another victory, 120-114.

No Andrew Wiggins, no Stephen Curry, no issue. Buddy Hield and Lindy Waters III led the Warriors to a 124-106 victory over the Pelicans. After falling behind 31-14 at the end of the first quarter, Golden State outscored New Orleans 110-75 in the game’s next three quarters.

    OCT. 29 TOP PERFORMERS

    1. Nikola Jokić: 29 points, 18 rebounds, 16 assists, one block
    2. Kyrie Irving: 35 points, 56.5 FG%, four rebounds, five assists, one steal

Anthony Edwards: 37 points, 7-13 3Pt,  six rebounds, three assists, one block

    Warriors seal the victory

In spite of a sluggish start and the absence of Andrew Wiggins (back) and Stephen Curry (ankle), Golden State defeated the Pelicans 124-106 to end Tuesday’s play.

    Red hot fourth quarter

Buddy Hield scores 28 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter, after sinking his eighth triple of the game. With just seconds left in the game, the Warriors suddenly lead by 17 points.

    Steal and then the hammer

The Warriors continue to dominate the second half against the Pelicans, as Kuminga adds to their lead with a reverse slam after picking up the ball on a deflection.

    Buddy from deep

With seven minutes remaining in the game, the Warriors hold a 99-88 lead over the Pelicans, and Hield is 5-9 from three and has 19 points overall.

    All the way back

Lindy Waters III nails the triple to give the Warriors a 69-67 lead almost halfway through the third quarter.

Waters started the second half in place of Buddy Hield and has been a spark plug for Golden State. The 27-year-old has 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt) and grabbed seven rebounds.

    Light the beam

With all five of their starting players scoring in double figures, the Kings defeated the Jazz 113-96. DeMar DeRozan contributed 20 points (9-14 FG) and eight assists, while Domantas Sabonis scored 28 points on 13-for-18 shooting and pulled down 11 rebounds. In the rookie’s first prolonged action of the season, Kyle Filipowski contributed 18 points and 12 rebounds off the bench, while Jordan Clarkson led all Jazz scorers with 21 points (8-16 FG).
