Callum McGregor, the captain of the Celtics, confirmed to the media ahead of tomorrow’s crucial cup match that he is ready to play if called upon following a brief period of injury.
As he considered his brief stint on the sidelines and looked ahead to tomorrow’s semi-final, the captain
“I would much rather be participating and in the thick of things. Any football player will tell you that having to watch is the worst thing.
“The boys had two excellent performances because they performed well and finished with the most points. Tomorrow is a different competition, therefore we must give it our all.
It should be a fun game to watch and play in because Aberdeen and we are both doing well.
“We are aware that in order to guarantee our spot in the final, we must give it our all.”
The Celtic captain is aware of the difficulty the Bhoys will face tomorrow when they play Aberdeen, who, like the Celtics, have not lost at home this season.
After falling behind 2-0 at halftime, the Dons rallied for a point at Celtic Park a few weeks ago, and Callum McGregor believes the game served as an excellent illustration of the level his team must reach tomorrow.
“We were aware that their season had gotten off to a fantastic start,” he stated. “Of course, we’ll aim to control the game and win when we come to Celtic Park.
