New York Giants Injury Report for Week 7: Malik Nabers Is Getting Better; Two Important Defenders Are Not

Regarding their Week 7 injury report, the New York Giants have both some good and some terrible news.

The good news is that head coach Brian Daboll has verified that rookie receiver Malik Nabers, who has been sidelined for the past two weeks due to a concussion, has progressed to the later stages of the protocol and will practise in a restricted capacity while wearing the red “non-contact” jersey.

Nabes, who continues to lead the club in receiving yards, has improved significantly, according to Daboll, and there is hope that he will be ready for Sunday’s game against the Eagles even with the week 7 injury report.

More positive news: according to Daboll, the remaining players should practise in some capacity.

The unfortunate news is now available. Both inside defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence (hip) and outside linebacker Brian Burns (groin) missed practice on Wednesday. The Giants are making an effort to manage Burns’ groin ailment, which initially appeared in Week 2. Since Lawrence’s ailment is new, it’s important to monitor it this week.

Andrew Thoams, a left tackle, underwent season-ending surgery, as confirmed by Daboll. Regarding the strategy to cover for the left tackle position, he stated that this week they would go through a number of various scenarios. On Wednesday, they will start with Joshua Ezeudu at left tackle and Jermaine Eluemunor at right tackle, and by the end of the week, they will assess the situation.

Additionally, Daboll stated that kicker Graham Gano (hamstring), who is eligible to come off injured reserve this week, will not have a 21-day window open this week.
