After losing to SuperSport United, Nasreddine Nabi expresses his annoyance at Mfundo Vilakazi and the Kaizer Chiefs’ youth.

    WHAT OCCURRED?

After years without a trophy, the Amakhosi faithful have found optimism again thanks to Nasreddine Nabi’s bright start in South Africa. However, Chiefs lost to SuperSport United 1-0 tonight, their second league defeat of the year. Nabi has recorded three victories and two defeats in five games across all competitions, including stunning back-to-back losses to SuperSport and Mamelodi Sundowns in prior league meetings.

The Chiefs are still having trouble finding rhythm under the 59-year-old coach, so consistency is still a problem despite recent victories. Nabi expressed his annoyance following the defeat to Gavin Hunt’s team, emphasizing the necessity for the team’s young players to improve their finishing.

    NABI’S COMMENTS

According to iDiski Times, he stated, “It’s a game we controlled practically the whole game, unfortunately, we created many opportunities but couldn’t score and the opponent had only one opportunity and they scored it.” “Our young players must learn that you must put the ball in the net to win a football game, but we think it’s a lesson, and even though it’s a difficult one, we hope we can improve.”

Regarding the change in mentalities, Nabi stated, “We think that today’s mentality was good, was positive even after conceding the goal, they switched on, we pressed, we pushed hard, especially in the second half.” “We thought we could change the game, so we played higher, put numbers in the box, took shots, and made crosses. We want that kind of mentality.”

CHIEFS’ NEXT STEPS? Chiefs will try to recover from their four league games—two victories and two defeats—when they visit Limpopo for their upcoming matchup with Magesi Fc. If they want to remain competitive in the fight for a top-eight position, they will need to improve their finishing and learn from their errors.
