Tucker Denies Claims, Expresses Regret
In a statement initially reported by OutKick, Tucker strongly refuted the allegations against him, asserting that he never acted inappropriately during or after any massage therapy sessions.
“I maintain that I did not engage in any inappropriate behavior at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session. I have never been informed that I was unwelcome at any massage therapy provider. These claims are simply untrue,” Tucker stated.
Despite his firm denial, Tucker expressed regret over the situation, acknowledging the impact it has had on those involved.
“It devastates me to think that anyone I have worked with may not have felt respected and valued—not just as professionals, but as individuals. To anyone who has felt otherwise, I am truly sorry,” he added.
Legal Counsel and Support from Family
Tucker’s legal team now includes Joe Terry of Williams & Connolly’s First Amendment practice group, as well as representatives from Clare Locke. His wife, Amanda Tucker, also issued a statement in support of her husband, noting that she had personally recommended several of the spas he visited and that they often received couples’ massages together.
“The false allegations against Justin have deeply hurt our family. I believe my husband and fully support him,” she said.
Details of the Allegations and NFL Investigation
The allegations against Tucker involve claims from 16 massage therapists across eight spas and wellness centers. The accusations include incidents where Tucker allegedly exposed himself, made inappropriate physical contact, and in some cases, left bodily fluids on massage tables. Two spas reportedly banned him from returning.
The claims date back to Tucker’s rookie year in 2012 and reportedly continued through 2016. Following the emergence of these accusations, the NFL has launched an investigation, with league officials traveling to Baltimore to interview some of the massage therapists involved.
Ravens’ Response and Future Uncertainty
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations and stated that the team will rely on the NFL’s investigation before making any decisions about Tucker’s future.
“These are serious and concerning allegations. We will allow the review to unfold and then make decisions accordingly,” DeCosta said at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Head coach John Harbaugh also commented on the matter, expressing disappointment over the situation while maintaining that more information is needed.
“We’ve all got questions, but nobody knows exactly what happened, so let’s see where the review takes us,” Harbaugh said.
While Tucker remains on the Ravens’ roster for now, the team has begun scouting college kickers, something Harbaugh noted would have happened regardless.
“Justin is our kicker, and we love him. I always expected him to play forever, but nobody plays forever,” Harbaugh added.
