South Carolina football recruiting target Jackson Repp suffered an ACL injury and will miss the rest of his senior high school season, according to his social media. The 3-star prospect is a Greenville native who attends Christ Church Episcopal School, and he earned a scholarship offer from the in-state Gamecocks at the end of July following a ridiculous performance at a USC camp.

The 5’8″ wide receiver ran the 40-yard dash with a time better than 4.30 during the camp, and he received his offer (and a 3-star recruiting ranking from On3) just a few days later. Repp’s statistical production at Christ Church looks like video game numbers, and even with his school moving up in high school classification ahead of this season, he had a strong start to 2024 before getting hurt.

Despite his injury, Repp was in town for the Gamecocks’ College GameDay matchup with the LSU Tigers this past Saturday. The in-state program is the biggest public scholarship offer for Repp.

South Carolina football wide receiver coach Mike Furrey has three players in the class of 2025 committed to the Gamecocks as 4-star Lex Cyrus (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), 4-star Brian Rowe (Concord, North Carolina), and Jayden Sellers (Florence, South Carolina) are all pledged to USC. Repp and 4-star wideout Malik Clark (Rock Hill, South Carolina) are the two most prominent wide receiver names on the team’s recruiting board. Clark is currently committed to the Florida State Seminoles.

Repp’s injury announcement included a note that his recovery will be attacked with his next four years in mind. He has not come forward with a public timeline for his commitment, and comments from his teammates and coaches have indicated they all expect Repp to come back even better than he was before.
