I Feel Extra Grade – Spurs Star Finally Turned a Corner With His Fitness

With his broken toe, Rodrigo Bentancur has now given an update, stating that he is not experiencing too much discomfort when playing.

Bentancur, who has missed a lot of football games in the past year, will be excited to participate as much as possible.

The midfield player suffered an ACL injury in February of last year and then hurt his ankle in his first game back against Aston Villa in November, keeping him out of action for almost a year.

Over the past few months, the 26-year-old has been playing on a regular basis for both club and country, and he is still trying to regain the form he had before suffering an ACL injury.

The midfield player disclosed that he had been playing with a fractured toe during the previous week’s international break, stating that he sustained the injury during the victory over Crystal Palace (ESPN).

In his Friday press conference, however, Ange Postecoglou dismissed any worries regarding the player’s broken toe, joking that he had nine more he could use (Football London).

    TOTTENHAM MORE STORIES

At Spurs, Bentancur is feeling better than ever.

Given all the football he has missed lately, Bentancur has now stated that there is no need to worry about the break and revealed that he did not want to quit playing.

“I feel good again after so many injuries,” the Tottenham player said to ESPN. I’ve been playing with a fractured toe for the past three weeks, but I broke it during training before the Crystal Palace game, and I didn’t want to keep stopping after so many injuries.

Since the broken toe only affected a little portion of the top—not the fifth, which would have been dangerous—I was able to play with it. It’s okay now that the toe is practically healthy.

Given all the football Bentancur has missed over the past year, it makes sense that the 26-year-old is eager to continue playing during the break, even if it is only a brief one.
