Former Ohio State football player is being inducted into OSU Hall of Fame – Buckeye Focus
Former Ohio State football player Braxton Miller was great when he played for the Buckeyes. Now, he’s an OSU Hall of Fame player.
One of my favorite Ohio State football players of all time is Braxton Miller. Miller came in as a true freshman in 2011 and started almost right away. After a few starts by Joe Bauserman, he took over. While the Buckeyes finished that season under .500, it laid the groundwork for what would come in the next three seasons.
Miller led the Buckeyes to an undefeated 12-0 season in 2012 and again led them to an undefeated regular season in 2013. His only losses that season came to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship and to Clemson in the Orange Bowl. That Orange Bowl would change his life and his football career forever.

Miller hurt his shoulder in a way that made him never throw another pass. He missed all of 2014 and came back in 2015 as a receiver. Still, he was a great Ohio State player. Because of that, he will be a member of the 2024 Ohio State Hall of Fame. Miller announced the honor on social media.
Ohio State became what it has in the past few years thanks to Miller. His dual-threat ability changed what the Buckeyes tried to do offensively. By the time his career was over, Miller had 5,295 passing yards and 52 touchdowns through the air, 3,315 yards and 33 touchdowns on the ground, and 340 yards and 3 touchdowns receiving.
This is an honor that Miller deserves. He was a dynamic football player who was very dangerous whenever he had the ball in his hands in space. His spin move against Virginia Tech in 2015 remains as one of the best moves anyone has made on a football field. He was a fantastic leader too.
