The debate going around now is whether Tottenham wouldâve fared better if Kane was still in their side. Lineker definitely thinks so.
The former Tottenham striker believes Spurs wouldâve qualified for the Champions League if Kane hadnât left for Bayern Munich before the start of the season.
âI still think, with Harry Kane, they wouldâve made top four,â Lineker said on the Rest is Football podcast.

The England captain was always the one who stepped up for Spurs, and he had given them countless incredible memories over the years.
He bid farewell in August 2023, and Tottenham have done well since. They wouldâve surely fared even better had he stayed.
However, Kane leaving may just be the reason why Spursâ fierce north London rivals, Arsenal, did not win the Premier League title earlier in May.
If the Bayern Munich man was still at Tottenham, he wouldâve probably been the one going through on goal against Manchester City instead of Heung-min Son.
The South Korean missed his opportunity, but Kane wouldâve likely buried it. If that had happened, Arsenal wouldâve won the Premier League title.
