Gary Lineker predicts where Tottenham would’ve finished this season if Harry Kane stayed
Gary Lineker has shared where he thinks Tottenham Hotspur would’ve finished in the table had Harry Kane stayed at the club.

Tottenham have had a decent campaign too, but you can’t help but wonder where they would’ve finished had Kane stayed and led the line.

Harry Kane was Tottenham’s best player, there’s no debate there.
The Englishman scored 280 goals and provided 61 assists for Spurs during his time at the club. He was absolutely incredible for them.
When Kane decided he wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer of 2023, many people feared the worst for the North London side..
However, Ange Postecoglou led Spurs to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League in his first season. Their terrible end to the campaign, which saw them win just two of their last seven games, cost them a place in the top four.
The debate going around now is whether Tottenham would’ve fared better if Kane was still in their side. Lineker definitely thinks so.
The former Tottenham striker believes Spurs would’ve qualified for the Champions League if Kane hadn’t left for Bayern Munich before the start of the season.
“I still think, with Harry Kane, they would’ve made top four,” Lineker said on the Rest is Football podcast.

Kane leaving Tottenham was a sad moment for Spurs fans.
The England captain was always the one who stepped up for Spurs, and he had given them countless incredible memories over the years.
He bid farewell in August 2023, and Tottenham have done well since. They would’ve surely fared even better had he stayed.
However, Kane leaving may just be the reason why Spurs’ fierce north London rivals, Arsenal, did not win the Premier League title earlier in May.
If the Bayern Munich man was still at Tottenham, he would’ve probably been the one going through on goal against Manchester City instead of Heung-min Son.
The South Korean missed his opportunity, but Kane would’ve likely buried it. If that had happened, Arsenal would’ve won the Premier League title.
