In protest, Enzo temporarily withdrew Ferrari’s entry under its own name and entered the US Grand Prix under the banner of the North American Racing Team (NART). The move paid off in a historic way. British driver John Surtees, racing under the NART livery, finished second at the 1964 US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.
