According to Jon Rothstein, incoming forward Andrew Carr of the Kentucky Wildcats has formally withdrawn from the NBA Draft.

Carr, who made his Kentucky commitment on April 28, was also considering the NBA, even though it was never anticipated that he would stay in the draft. Instead, he was using the procedure to receive NBA organizations’ input on how he could improve going into his senior year of collegiate basketball.

Unranked in the class of 2020, 6-foot-11, 230-pound Carr signed with Delaware and played for two years before moving to Wake Forest, where he has stayed for the last two years.

Averaging 10.7 points on 48.9% shooting (31.1% from deep on 3.2 attempts per game), 6.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.9 blocks per game, Carr participated in 33 games (all starts) in the 2022–2023 campaign.

Averaging 13.5 points on 52.6% shooting (37.1% from 3-point range on 2.8 attempts per game), 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, Carr played in 35 games (all starts) during the previous campaign.

Carr finished with 31 points (11/19 shooting and 2/4 on threes), 11 rebounds, a steal, and an assist in Wake Forest’s NIT loss against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Next season, expect Carr to be one of the starting four.
