Arsenal handed huge injury boost after international break

As they get ready to play again in the Premier League after the most recent international break, Arsenal has received a significant injury boost. Arsenal supporters instantly worried for the worse after Bukayo Saka was forced off the field early due to an injury during England’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League League B loss against Greece. Their “star boy” was spotted staggering off the field and then walking around the stadium after the game.

After interim England manager Lee Carsley confirmed that Saka was close to a comeback before departing the national camp to return to Arsenal, these worries seem to have been allayed, at least temporarily. This gives rise to optimism that he will be fit in time to play AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Saka was supposed to play for the Three Lions in Helsinki, Finland, on Saturday, but it was announced on Saturday that he would return to Arsenal to receive additional evaluation regarding his possible injury. Carsley stated the following prior to his team’s matchup with Finland: “Bukayo would have been close [to being able to play against Finland], but it would have been unfair to take a risk with him. I expect him to be alright because he is an optimistic person.

While fans do not know for sure if Saka will be fit until later next week, Carsley’s comments have been enthusiastically accepted anyway, as any anxieties regarding a long-term injury, like the one experienced by captain Martin Ødegaard during the previous international break, were placed to rest.
