Coach of Arsenal’s young team Gustavo Oliveira believes that 14-year-old phenom Max Dowman will become a Premier League and England star, calling him the “next Kaka.”
Dowman has made 11 league appearances for Jack Wilshere’s team since making his U18 Premier League debut at the age of 13 in September 2023. In those games, he has scored twice and added seven more assists. In addition, Dowman has started the first two UEFA Youth League games for Arsenal, scoring in the team’s loss to Atalanta.
Fast on the ball and a skilled dribbler, Dowman debuted for the England U17s last month and has already made three appearances for that age group. He undoubtedly has a bright career ahead of him, and Oliveira—an assistant coach at Arsenal for the U9 through U14 divisions.
