Although Yacine Adli had a respectable breakthrough season at San Siro in 2023–2024, his future at Milan is still up in the air. Last season’s Serie A runners-up, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via MilanNews, are open to bids for the French midfielder.
Adli settled in last season at Milan after a haphazard debut campaign, becoming one of Stefano Pioli’s most reliable players in the engine room. The 23-year-old secured regular first-team football playing time by taking advantage of Ismael Bennacer’s injury problems.
Adli made 33 appearances for Milan in a variety of tournaments last season, 24 of which were in Serie A. He had one goal and two assists. That being said, the Frenchman’s tenure with Lombardia may come to an end as a result of the managerial change.
After taking over for Pioli as manager, new boss Paulo Fonseca will need to weigh his alternatives. Bennacer’s future is also in doubt as the Portuguese manager tries to make changes to his midfield, in addition to Adli.
Milan plans a summer raid for Youssouf Fofana, a top player for Monaco. If he were to arrive, Milan would have to surrender something in the middle of the park, and they are prepared to ignore Adli.
However, they have not yet received firm proposals for the former prodigy from Bordeaux. In order to acquire the deep-lying playmaker in the summer of 2021, the Rossoneri had to part with €8 million. Milan will try to get their money back. It shouldn’t be an issue because Adli has performed well over the last 12 months, but Fonseca has the last say.
