Following Joe Hart’s retirement, former Celtic scorer Chris Sutton has urged Martin Dubravka to join Celtic Park.

Martin Dubravka has been urged by Chris Sutton to leave Newcastle this summer in order to start over at Celtic.

In Nick Pope’s absence due to injury, Dubravka was instrumental to the Magpies’ season; but, due to his close ties to Burnley’s James Trafford, the Slovakian international may find himself as Eddie Howe’s third option.

Big gloves need to be filled in Glasgow as Joe Hart, a devoted fan favorite who is retiring from Celtic Park, leaves the stadium. Sutton compares Dubravka’s career to that of the former England number one, who crossed the line.

Sutton stated in the Daily Record that he “probably has one more big move in him” at 35 years old.”He has been a regular player for Newcastle over the past year, but he won’t be the starting lineup.

He most likely watched Hart’s accomplishments at Celtic and wishes he could have achieved some of that himself.

Does he stay put and serve as a backup for his last year at Newcastle, or does he move down the English level to play regularly? Or does he play in the Champions League, come to Celtic, and have the opportunity to win trophies each week? I am aware of what I would do.

In any case, Newcastle would probably want to let Dubravka go before June 30 in order to balance the budget and adhere to PSR requirements, but the goalkeeper has stated that his primary priority will be EURO 2024 and that he won’t be concerned about
