Son Heung-Min, a prominent player for Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea, has requested fans to “forgive” Lee Kang-In following their altercation while on international duty.
Son played in the Asian Cup earlier this year for South Korea. His team advanced to the competition’s semi-finals, but a 2-0 loss to Jordan kept them out of the championship game.
It was revealed after South Korea’s elimination from the competition that Son had sprained his finger in a furious altercation with Lee, a midfielder for PSG.
Lee apologized for his behavior but later denied punching the Spurs star. The Premier League attacker recently said that he “will take special care” so his South Korea teammate “can grow into a better person and player.” The PSG player has also visited Son in the hospital.
The Tottenham star posted on Instagram, saying, “As seniors of the national team, all of our players will take special care from his side to prevent Kang-in from such wrong behaviour again and help him grow into a better person and player.”

Since then, Lee has acknowledged that he “deeply regrets” and “never should have” gotten into his argument with Son.
“I did something at dinner that day that I should never have done.” “I sincerely apologize,” Lee declared on Wednesday.
