The club has caught attention across League Two after naming former Premier League goalkeeper and respected coach Lee Grant as its new permanent manager.
Grant steps into the role with an impressive coaching background, having worked closely with elite figures such as José Mourinho, Sean Dyche, and Kieran McKenna during spells at Manchester United and Ipswich Town. On paper, he appears to be the kind of ambitious appointment Walsall needs to revive a squad that unraveled late in the season.
Still, football is decided on the pitch, not in theory, and Grant will be under immediate pressure:
