In a massive boost to the US economy, SoftBank Group Corp. is set to invest a whopping $100 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and energy production infrastructure ¹. This investment, announced by SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, is expected to create 100,000 jobs across the US over the next four years.

The investment will be drawn from the existing SoftBank Vision Fund and new investment projects, following a similar structure to Son’s 2016 US investment initiative. This move signals SoftBank’s return to a more aggressive investment strategy, specifically focused on AI ¹.

President-elect Donald Trump and SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son are set to announce a massive $100 billion investment initiative focused on artificial intelligence and related infrastructure projects, aiming to create 100,000 jobs over the next four years.

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son is joining forces with President-elect Donald Trump to announce a massive $100 billion investment in the US AI sector ¹. This initiative aims to create 100,000 jobs across the US over the next four years, focusing on key areas like semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and energy production infrastructure.

Son’s investment plan is part of a broader strategy to develop artificial superintelligence (ASI), which he believes will revolutionize industries like healthcare and technology. To achieve this goal, SoftBank is set to draw capital from its existing Vision Fund and new investment projects.

This move marks a significant shift in SoftBank’s investment strategy, which had been more cautious in recent times. The company is now willing to take on more risk to capitalize on the potential of AI technology.
