In their Carling Black Label Cup debut on Saturday at Orlando Stadium, Orlando Pirates will host recently promoted team Magesi FC.
Olisa Ndah, a crucial defender for the Buccaneers, will sadly be out for an extended amount of time due to injury.
The Nigerian international is anticipated to lose a significant amount of time on the sidelines. Following his injury sustained during the league encounter against Polokwane City, it prevented him from competing in the MTN8 final.
The 26-year-old’s tibia fracture has been confirmed by the Bucs medical department. Ndah has been ruled out for the remainder of the year. This is due to the location and nature of the injury, making the decision of surgery difficult.
During Orlando Pirates’ league matchup with Polokwane City last month, Olisa Ndah sustained the injury. The former Akwa United star’s injury has already prevented him from playing for Nigeria against Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Ndah has been a vital component of the Orlando Pirates’ defence, therefore his absence is also considered as a major setback to their hopes of winning the championship.
Prior to the injury, Ndah was instrumental in the Buccaneers’ success earlier in the season when they won a title.
