Aside from his time at Real Sociedad, Merino has also played for Newcastle United and German side Borussia Dortmund, making him one of the most seasoned players currently in the Gunners squad. As he hopes for more game time after the international break, Merino has admitted that his transfer to Arsenal has been a life-changing experience for him.
