Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford recently addressed trade rumors linking him to teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants.
In an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast hosted by NFL players Jason and Travis Kelce, Stafford discussed the personal impact of these speculations on him and his family.
Stafford acknowledged that the uncertainty surrounding his professional future was challenging, particularly for his family. Despite receiving more lucrative offers from other teams, he expressed relief and happiness about remaining with the Rams, emphasizing his desire to continue playing in Los Angeles.
The Rams’ decision to retain Stafford comes after a season where he threw for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, leading the team to a 10-7 record. As he enters his fifth season with the Rams, Stafford remains optimistic about the team’s prospects and looks forward to building on their previous successes. 
The New York Giants, one of the teams reportedly interested in Stafford, have faced challenges in securing a veteran quarterback during free agency.
