The Niners made a valiant attempt to bring their tried-and-true core back. They dished out big-money contracts, spent considerable money in free agency, and picked players that might have an immediate effect in 2024.
They have done them a great deal of good.
Oh well, they will soon be travelling to Italy.
In a terrible season for San Francisco, the Niners’ Sunday loss to the Green Bay Packers marked a new low. The Buffalo Bills game on Sunday in Orchard Park may reach a new height.
It is understandable that head coach Kyle Shanahan’s role as the program’s leader would be questioned as the team enters what is likely to be a losing season and suffers from a terrible Super Bowl hangover. This season, he is not performing well.
Therefore, the incessant chant that he must give up his offensive-playing calling should be enough if fans aren’t demanding that he be fired outright.
Both are ridiculous, completely unwarranted suggestions.
