Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer claims that for the time being, this extension is probably the only significant change Oklahoma intends to make.
“I don’t expect there to be much more in OKC for the time being right now aside from this impending Alex Caruso extension that the league is definitely still expecting and bracing for coming out of the Thunder,” Fischer said.
The deal may be worth up to $80 million over four years if Caruso signs.
He will become a free agent in 2025, though, allowing other teams to try to sign him if the two parties are unable to come to an agreement.
The 30-year-old guard has averaged 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game thus far this season.
