Celtics reveal their new “City Edition” uniforms.

The Celtics unveiled another alternate uniform on Thursday, as the team is set to debut its “City Edition” look against the Raptors on Saturday.

After sporting a cream-colored look with last year’s City Edition uniforms, this season’s alternates swing the other way with a black base and a bright green trim. Design details include a weave pattern on the side panels, a pick stitch, and what the Celtics call a “future forward typeface and number set.”

“While the previous season’s uniform celebrated the origin of the game in Springfield, Mass., this year’s on-court collection was designed to highlight its evolution,” the team said in a release. “The introduction of Action Green mixed with the ever-popular black base anchors this look. Subtle design details, such as the weave pattern on the uniform’s side panels, tie the past iteration to the future iteration — truly bridging the gap.”

The uniforms also have a gold plated “18″ on the back collar in honor of the franchise’s 18th championship.

The new jerseys were released to the public for purchase Thursday.
