Kevon Walker, 18, a collegiate football player from Pennsylvania, was discovered dead in his dorm room bed as investigators began their investigation.

Walker was an exceptional football player, according to Canisius, whose smile was as big as his presence on the pitch.
According to a Facebook post by Principal Tom Coppola ’01, “Kevon was a larger-than-life presence in our building in so many ways.” It was amazing to watch him so pleased on the day of his graduation from Canisius High School. It was a wonderful day for him and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Walker recently helped the squad on the sidelines and in the locker room during a September game at Canisius.
Coppola and football head coach Kraig Kurzanski met with the players to inform them of Walker’s death. There will be counsellors available to help students.
According to Pennsylvania’s NBC affiliate WJAC, authorities are looking into Walker’s death.
Tuesday’s lessons at Saint Francis University were cancelled so that students might attend a liturgy in Walker’s honour.
Director of Athletics James Downer remarked, “The entire department is heartbroken over the tragic and untimely loss of Kevon.”
“Despite his brief tenure at Saint Francis, he had a positive influence on the football program, was liked and respected by the squad, and demonstrated the potential for a highly successful future with the Red Flash.
During this extremely difficult time, our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with Kevon’s family, loved ones, teammates, and coaches.
