According to Footy Headlines, Celtic will use a tartan pattern on their 2025–26 home uniform for the first time.
This summer was supposed to be the last month of Celtic’s partnership with Adidas. The Hoops have reportedly agreed to an extension, though, and an announcement is expected soon.
Additionally, Celtic will join some of Europe’s top teams as an elite club with the uniform maker.
Adidas has already experimented with the Hoops; fans’ reactions to the stained glass effect inside the green hoops from the previous season were not entirely positive. However, because tartan is so ingrained in Scottish culture, this next design might appeal to a wider audience while honoring the club’s customs.
When Nike was the kit provider in the early 2010s, they had various tartan designs, but they didn’t use them on home jerseys.
As more information becomes available, Celtics fans will be excited to see how the uniform appears.
Footy Headlines will undoubtedly have more information as the months go by.
