Greg Kihn, 75, was a rock musician whose band’s song “Jeopardy” almost reached the top of the Billboard charts.
After battling Alzheimer’s disease, rock guitarist and singer Greg Kihn, who was well-known for his 1980s hit songs, passed away at the age of 75.
According to the musician’s website, who was born in Baltimore, Kihn passed away on Tuesday. In 1981, the Greg Kihn Band’s song “The Breakup Song (They Don’t Write ‘Em)” made it to the Billboard charts.
Two years later, the band’s biggest hit, “Jeopardy,” came out and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, behind only Michael Jackson’s “Beat It.”
Due to the song’s popularity, “Weird Al” Yankovic wrote a spoof of the popular game show, “I Lost on Jeopardy.
In addition, Kihn was a longstanding radio personality and the author of six novels. His wife and two children survive him.
