After his performance against Liverpool, Alan Shearer complimented a superb Arsenal player and stated that the team couldn’t afford to lose him.
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s impressive performance in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool, according to Alan Shearer, highlights how much the squad has missed the winger. Saka missed Arsenal’s last two games against Bournemouth and Shakhtar Donetsk because of an injury he sustained while playing for his country.
But Saka’s Sunday comeback to the starting lineup gave Arsenal a much-needed boost in their pursuit of the Premier League title. The 23-year-old made an instant impression by finishing strong past Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool to score his third goal of the season. Saka also consistently threatened Andy Robertson down the left wing during the game.
Arsenal’s recent performance has been affected by injuries and suspensions, but Shearer thinks Saka’s performance shows how important he is to Mikel Arteta’s squad. Shearer told Premier League Productions, “I love his attitude; he’s an excellent player.”
