He is now doubtful for the Game 3 in New York on Monday.
According to Dave Roberts, manager of Los Angeles, Ohtani “had a little left shoulder subluxation” and testing would be conducted.

“It was very strong. We are encouraged since the range of motion is good.
Since we haven’t received the scans yet, I can’t speculate, of course. So, we’ll know more after we obtain the scans.
Shortstop Anthony Volpe tagged Ohtani for the last out of the inning on a feetfirst slide, and Ohtani grasped his left forearm.
After lying close to the bag for a few minutes, trainers attended to him and he left the pitch.
With a 4-2 triumph, the Dodgers maintained their 2-0 series advantage.
Ohtani’s interpreter was charged in April with embezzling nearly $16 million (£12.75 million) from the Dodgers star in order to pay off gambling debts.
After allegedly stealing money from an account that Ohtani helped set up, Ippei Mizuhara was charged with bank fraud.
Ohtani is not charged with any crimes and is regarded as a victim.
The 30-year-old and the LA Dodgers inked a record-breaking $700 million (£557 million) contract last year.
