TE for the Cowboys Yesterday during practice, John Stephens sustained a knee injury that will terminate his season.
This is Stephens’ second consecutive ACL tear. He tore the same ligament during last year’s preseason. He was vying for a spot on the Cowboys squad after going undrafted the previous season when he sustained the injury. He has never participated in a Cowboys regular-season game.
His father, John Stephens, won the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 1988 after being selected in the first round by the Patriots.
