She told TODAY, “You have to work hard to achieve your goals.” Harrison’s emphasis on balance and discipline has been essential to her performance on and off the track, from her love of salmon to swimming and following her coach’s advise.
Harrison puts a lot of effort into his work. She told TODAY that her parents gave her this mindset. “They lead by example. They are industrious individuals who taught me to persevere and that hard effort is necessary to achieve your objectives. So that’s basically what I take away from them. I’m just overjoyed to be bringing a little bit home.
