As the two reconvene, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has taken the time to express gratitude to Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. and Football Manager Bobby Motaung for enticing Cedric Kaze to Naturena.
Kaze, who was born in Burundi, has joined coach Nabi’s technical staff after Fernando Da Cruz left Chiefs just three months into his new position to join the Moroccan Football Federation.
The 45-year-old, who had previously worked with Nabi at Young Africans, had great success with the Tunisian coach, winning six trophies in two seasons.
This is my brother, and my second assistant is Mr. Cedric Kaze. We collaborated at Young Africans, and together we achieved great success,” Nabi told reporters.
“A lot of positive moments, occasionally negative ones. He is a terrific man with a lot of experience.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Bobby and Mr. Kaizer Jr., for allowing me to come for Mr. Cedric Kaze.
I’m overjoyed. He is an excellent coach and a really decent dude.
“I’m thrilled about that.”
Kaze joins an already impressive technical staff that includes Safi Majdi, Ilyes Mzoughi, and Khalil Ben Youssef.
