When considering overrated players, it’s difficult to ignore some of the acquisitions Chelsea has made in the last two seasons. In my opinion, Mykhailo Mudryk is the most overhyped player and the biggest letdown when it comes to not living up to the hype. They took the player right out from under Arsenal’s nose, and the announcement of his arrest was portrayed as a true coup. Simply said, he hasn’t appeared to be the player that we all thought he could be during his tenure with the team. I felt he looked like a world beater when I watched him play for Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
I was quite interested to see what he would contribute to the Premier League, but he hasn’t succeeded in doing so. He has only pretended to be dishonest. Apart from Mudryk, Stubbs also criticized Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo
, raising doubts about whether the midfield players have lived up to their high prices:
Despite being excellent players, have they really lived up to the expectations placed on midfielders who command salaries over one hundred million pounds? For such a large expenditure, I don’t think they’ve had the kind of impact you would expect. Although we have witnessed them perform in the past, they are both excellent players. However, I haven’t seen them dominate when they play for Chelsea. You would anticipate that from players with those kinds of price tags.
