Kirby Smart Used Two Words to Describe Alabama’s Ryan Williams
As both Alabama and Georgia endure this BYE week in preparation for their matchup on September 28th, the anticipation and hype continues to skyrocket. This matchup has provided numerous big moments in college football history, and this years game looks to provide the same. Both teams are ranked in the Top 5, have Heisman Trophy hopefuls, and big name head coaches.
Georgia’s head coach Kirby Smart spoke about the upcoming matchup, and spoke about Alabama’s offensive talent, particularly the young phenom receiver Ryan Williams, who has been a headliner in Alabama’s first three wins of the season. Charlie Potter provided a specific quote on X. “He’s extremely talented,” Smart said. “A kid we recruited. He came over and saw us several times. He’s a delightful personality. He’s fun to be around and a great kid.”
Williams has scored four times in his first three games in a Crimson Tide uniform. He is already receiving comparisons to the likes of DeVonta Smith and Amari Cooper, two Alabama legends. Williams looks to continue to provide an offensive spark for the Tide against the Bulldogs.
