Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis Breaks His Silence Following Hospitalisation
Last week the Red Hot Chili Peppers were left with no choice but to cancel their show at KROQ’s Weenie Roast after lead singer Anthony Kiedis was rushed to hospital in an ambulance just hours before they were due to take to the stage.
A tweet from KROQ read: “Unfortunately due to illness the @ChiliPeppers were forced to cancel their set tonight at #WeenieRoast. More details to come. ”
Bassist Flea and his bandmates ended up taking to the stage at the Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre in Irvine California to explain what was going on, telling disappointed fans: “We are devastated about it.
“We live to rock, we live to f*cking kick deep into the depths of our hearts and rock, but unfortunately there’s a medical thing that happened and we need to deal with it.”
Now Anthony has broken his silence on his latest health scare, revealing that he was “down to the ground” with intestinal flu, which sounds pretty painful.
