Ange Postecoglou will be busy this summer as Tottenham Hotspur aims to bolster his roster in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Spurs have progressed since the 2022–2023 season, and with Ange Postecoglou leading the team, their future appears bright.
Nonetheless, there is still more to be done to raise the Tottenham squad’s general caliber and depth.
Spurs will probably try to bolster their midfield in light of the unclear futures of players like Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Ben Jacobs has since updated us on a Tottenham target who is thought to be his nation’s “best defensive midfielder.”
Tottenham is keeping an eye on Andre Trindade.
The guy in question is Andre Trindade, a standout for Fluminense who the Spurs have reportedly been watching for months.
While Andre and Fulham have an agreement, Jacobs asserted on Last Word on Spurs that the deal might not go if Joao Palhinha stays.
According to the transfer expert, this might make it possible for teams like Tottenham to seize the opportunity and move Andre to north London as opposed to west London.
“Andre from Fluminense should be included as well,” Jacobs added.
“Fulham essentially have a verbal agreement, but they won’t move forward if Joao Palhinha stays behind. In January, they came close to signing him, but Palhinha stayed.
“Fast-forward to the summer. Fulham is still in the box seat, but other suitors are welcome to apply as long as Palhinha isn’t finished.
“I am aware that Tottenham has been observing that player for a few months, even during the Club World Cup.”
Andre was previously connected to Liverpool, but since last year, rumors have subsided.
Who is Tottenham target Andre Trindade?
One of Brazil’s top young midfield players will be acquired by the winner of the Andre competition.
Graeme Bailey said, “Many people think he’s the best defensive midfielder in the Brazilian top flight at the moment,” on 90Min’s Talking Transfers podcast back in October.
He has been called a “scaringly good controller of tempo,” “a 10/10 recyler and ball winner,” and “a mix of Thiago and Wijnaldum” by football statistical specialist Pranav on X.
Andre, who is only 22 years old, has already made 185 appearances in competitive play for Fluminense and has five caps for Brazil.
Andre is a reasonably priced alternative for Tottenham, with a price tag of €25 million (about £20 million), according to Tuttosport via Milan News.
