Despite rumors of other targets and strained relationships, AC Milan is still interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee.
Milan has not given up on Zirkzee, at least based on information filtered by “sources very close to the” club, according to Calciomercato.com. This is in spite of the challenges he had when attempting to reach an agreement with his Kia Joorabchian regarding commissions.
In order to close the deal, Joorabchian is requesting signing incentives of about €15 million, but Milan will not go above double figures—that is, they will not give up €10 million or more on top of the €40 million clause, which they are delighted to activate.
Milan is aware that Zirzkee’s agency is in communication with the Premier League club and that Manchester United has entered the fight for his services, but they are also aware that they are the only team currently in negotiations with the player.
As a result, the Rossoneri are still in a strong position to land the Dutchman, but this advantage may be lost if there isn’t one final crucial move on the commission front.
Zirkzee has instructed his entourage to hold off on making any decisions on his future until the conclusion of the European Championship, so for now, it may be a waiting game. As a result, we will have to wait even longer to find out the winner.
