According to a source, Juventus made an offer for a swap involving another forward in hopes of getting Alexis Saelemaekers from AC Milan.
Saelemaekers has reportedly returned to Milan, but he won’t be staying long because the management is looking for a new team for him to play for after his loan stint at Bologna, according to reports from Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews).
The winger performed well under Thiago Motta’s tutelage, but because Motta departed for Juventus and Vincenzo Italiano was named in his place—a man who prefers to rely on other profiles—they chose not to exercise their option to purchase.
Therefore, even though Saelemaekers will only be stopping by, he will return to Milanello because Geoffrey Moncada and his group are trying to locate him a new place to live—this time permanently.
Juventus, who are currently led by Motta, could be interested. According to the publication, Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, has made Milan a trade offer featuring striker Moise Kean. It’s identical to what was reported in August of last year.
But the Rossoneri rejected this and made a fresh request for at least €15 million. Both Milan and Juventus are stuck in their ways; Milan wants to cash in and demand the entire payment, while Juventus believes it is too costly.
